The eye of the Tiger

By: Nacho Libre

Desi Martinez aka “el Pato” can really talk up a storm.

If you take him to a cemetery he’ll wake up the dead and get them to vote at the polls.

I agree with you Juan, Desi’s weakness is the almighty dollar hanging in front of him like a carrot stick.

Believe me he will move mountains just to satisfy his own greed.

But then again look at the other people like Rick, Solis, Boswell, Gallbladderbreath…etc., surely they are no different than my little patito.

Before long those people will line up like little duckies and the voters will shoot them off their hinies.

Kori as we all know, knows which side of the bread is buttered and therefore she will vote accordingly.

Her own economic base is at jeopardy if she leans on the wrong side.

There’s not too many poor – average people available to buy what she has to offer.

Maybe all three of us…you, Desi, (maybe Kori, Alverez says she something to be beholden to) and I can drink a cup of coffee and laugh about this in the near future.

Why are you after Rick Ledesma and Jim Solis?
I believe both to be honorable men.
Remember, it was those two who stopped the crooked airport deal.
Solis served us well in the Texas Legislature for many years.
Ledesma ran the Harlingen Post until there were so many stupid, racist and untrue statements made he decided to give it up.

He ran the Harlingen Post until Kori Mara told his wife(her campaign manager) that it needed to go. Supposedly because of some attacks on her (Kori).

Rick, already feeling the heat from the old guard, decided to roll over and play dead. He has now been neutered. Too bad, he was one of the main pillars of the revolution. We need him back. We need to support him against the attacks of the evil ones. We need to help others who are being attacked by them as they seek to re assert control of the city.

Beggarts for their ill gotten money and cowardice is what the old guard expects from us and they get almost all of the time. Que lastima.

  3. Carlos Alverez says:

Some wonder why Rick and Jim killed the airport deal. were they looking out for the tax payer, or was it because they were taking care of an old friends and political cohort that did not want competition? I don’t know, but it might be good to follow political campaign donations, family relationships and political allegiances to find out. The city did a local investigation, and now there is a call for another investigation to be conducted by a nearby attorney. Are these witch hunts? Why not call for the Attorney General’s Office to conduct the investigation and arrive at a truly impartial finding? I would hate to see that we now have a bunch of new ‘old guarders’ taking care of their cronies. I truly hope that is not the case, but I have witnessed Harlingen and Cameron County political shenanigans far too long to simply brush the notion aside.

  4. Juan J. Ortega says:

Airport board member maybe leading the charge on starting cameron county political shenanigans again . Compadrismo is dead ,but not out . It’s coming back when we all thought it had seen the last of its hay days.
