McAllen to Host Citywide Halloween Festival & Haunted Pool Event Wednesday, October 31

McAllen will host a citywide Halloween Festival and Haunted Pool event, Wednesday, October 31, from 6:00 to 9:30 pm, at Municipal Park and Pool, on 1921 N. Bicentennial Boulevard.

The family-friendly event will include haunted pool canoe rides, arts and crafts, a haunted house, games, music, a costume contest, candy and prizes.  Admission is free but a $1 fee will be charged for haunted pool canoe rides, the haunted house and some interactive games.

“This year we decided to combine the events at all our community centers into one big event,” said McAllen Parks and Recreation Marketing Coordinator Leslie Howland. “This is a safe opportunity for families to celebrate together.”

Howland said last year’s haunted pool earned statewide recognition for Best Special Event by the Texas Public Pools Council.

“pura vida” is effectively Costa Rica’s region motto…thus no, I wouldn’t classify a cafe with that popularity as Mexican still it is delightful!!
