The Minority Affairs Council is an organization that originated from the tragic death of Joaquin Luna, as the Texas Dream Alliance (TDA) prompted a group of students at the University of Texas-Pan American to start an organization that could provide resources and information to students who do not think obtaining a college education is possible. Our hope is to harness the talents, abilities and determination of youth, to affect change in a proactive manner towards political and social issues among the minority community through MAC’s initiatives.
