In the bottom of the second and the bases loaded, McAllen (23-40) got a three-run double from Craig Hertler giving them the 3-2 advantage.

After the Thunder added two runs in the bottom of the third, the Roadrunners picked up a run in the top of the fifth.  With runners at first and second, Pascual Del Real stole third but the throw got away and allowed him to score making it 5-3 in favor of McAllen.

The Thunder added to their lead with four more runs in the bottom of the seventh and one in the eighth as Kurt Houck recorded the final three outs in the top of the ninth giving them the 10-3 victory.
