2 Harlingen women arrested and charged for robbery, after assaulting another woman and taking her purse and her cellular phone.

On Tuesday July 11, 2012, at 11:27 pm, San Benito Police responded to a trucking company located on the 30000 Block of East Business 77 in reference to a disturbance among females.
Police Officers arrived and made contact with 41 year old female who was later identified as the victim.
According to the victim she had arrived at that location with her boyfriend, and as she was getting out of a truck she was confronted by 38 year old Donna Guzman (Harlingen) who was identified as her boyfriend’s wife.
The victim alleged the suspect began to verbally and physically assaulting her, and was assisted by the suspect’s 17 year old stepdaughter later identified as Samantha R. Guzman (Harlingen).
Victim stated that after the assault the females took her purse and her cell phone with them and fled in a dark colored Nissan vehicle heading west on Business 77.
San Benito Police located the suspect vehicle by the 1900 block of West Business 77, and proceeded to detain the female suspect’s.
The Police Officers found the purse and the cell phone that belonged to the victim inside the car.
Donna Guzman and Samantha Guzman were arrested for Robbery and transported to City Jail where they were booked in accordingly.
Municipal Judge David Garza arraigned to two and set bond at $5,000 each.
