U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Announces the Closing of Los Ebanos Ferry Crossing


Los Ebanos International Ferry Crossing Closure

The Los Ebanos, TX International Ferry crossing closed at 0830 hours, Sunday, June 3, 2012 due to high water levels in the Rio Grande.  All local traffic will be re-routed to the nearby surrounding ports of entry at Anzalduas and Rio Grande City, TX ports of entry.Reopening of the ferry crossing depends on when the water is at a safe level for operation. 

WHEN:            08:30 am, Sunday, June 3, 2012


CBP office of Public Affairs will send out an advisory when the Ferry becomes operational. 


U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is the unified border agency within the Department of Homeland Security charged with the management, control, and protection of our Nation’s borders at and between the official ports of entry. CBP is charged with keeping terrorists and terrorist weapons out of the country while enforcing hundreds of U.S. laws.
