Visitor Center Directions: The Refuge is 7 miles south of Alamo, TX on FM 907 about 1/4 mile east on Hwy 281.

Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge

Twilight Tram Tours: See which animals become active at dusk and after dark on this 2 ½ hour guided tour on our open air tram. Bring binoculars. Tickets available first come the day of the tour. $4 adults, $3.50 seniors, $1 children under 12 with entrance fee. Second Saturday of the month, April – September, (June 9, 7 – 9:30 pm) Gator Tours : Get the facts about these amazing creatures and search for them in their native habitats. Bring your camera. We loan binoculars. FREE with entrance fee of $3 per vehicle. February – August, Sundays 2 – 4 pm. National Trails Day: – Enjoy a short, guided walk along our accessible trails. Native plants and birds will be highlight-ed. Saturday, June 2, at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Free with entrance fee. Kayak the Laguna Madre: Enjoy time outside in nature with friends and family. Learn basic kayaking skills while investigating the bay plants and animals. All equipment provided. $30/adult, $25/ ages 8 – 12. Advance reservations required. Call 956-748-3607 for more information. June – September, Saturdays, Sundays, and Fridays, 8 am – 1 pm Celebrate Pollinators! – Discover native plants and their pollinators such as bees, bats, butterflies, moths and hummingbirds during this open house on June 23 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. A variety of walks, talks, crafts, activities and give-aways will be available. All ages welcome! Roma Bluffs World Birding Center Contact Information: 956-849-4930 Bird talks/walks: daily at 8:30am, 10:30am, and 2pm. Historical tours available upon request. Contact Christine at the num-ber above. Girl Scout Day Camps: April 28th, May 5th, May 19th, and June 2nd from 10:00 am- Noon.
