Jaime Zapata Border Enforcement Security Task Force (BEST) Act of 2011 Reduces Border Violence by Increasing Inter-Agency Collaboration
Washington, DC — Tomorrow, Wednesday, May 30, Congressman Henry Cuellar’s (TX-28) border security bill H.R. 915 will be considered by the U.S. House of Representatives. H.R. 915, the Jaime Zapata Border Enforcement Security Task Force (BEST) Act of 2011, enhances border security by promoting coordinated efforts and information-sharing among federal, state and local border and law enforcement officials. The bill is named after ICE Special Agent Jaime Zapata, who was killed in the line of duty in 2011.
Prior to the vote, Cuellar will speak from the floor of the House of Representatives. Proceedings from the House floor will be broadcast live on CSPAN.
