Congressman Rubén Hinojosa Announces Over $4 Million in HUD Grants For Texas District 15 Public Housing Agencies

U.S. Rep. Rubén Hinojosa (TX-15) announced the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development has awarded a total of $4,729,642.00 to Public Housing Agencies in his Congressional Texas District 15.

The funding comes from the 2012 Capital Fund Program Award. The program provides funds annually to Public House Agencies (PHA’s) for capital and management activities, including modernization and development of public housing.

“We continue to support the ongoing process of the upgrading and maintaining of our public housing”, said Rep. Hinojosa. “As our population grows and our economy strengthens, our residents will continue to benefit from federal grants that help provide needed housing. The directors and employees who manage the public housing agencies work every day assisting our residents in obtaining public housing and I am very happy to see they are receiving funds to help them continue their hard work in our communities”.

In all, 26 (PHA’s) in Congressman Hinojosa’s district will receive grant funds. See entire list for Texas District 15 below:
