Hidalgo County- Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Investigators have identified HCSO 2nd murder victim of 2012 as German Duque Gonzalez (DOB 8/12/46) 1914 N. Montana St., Alton, TX.
Inspection of body revealed what appears to be blunt trauma to head. Victim’s vehicle a 1994 Mercury Gran Marquis was located in Weslaco, TX at 7:30am Wednesday.
The vehicle was reported to Weslaco Police Department as suspicious and abandoned at 801 N. Louisiana by property owner.
Property owner notifies the Gonzalez family of vehicle at 4:30pm.
Gonzalez family then notifies HCSO of the welfare concern for Mr. Gonzalez.
HCSO seizes vehicle and is processed by CSI for evidence.
The autopsy will be performed this morning.
