My Harlingen News Rotating Header Image

The party is over, it’s back to business!

Once back to the dreary realities of Harlingen, city commissioner Kori Marra may need some time off to recover before venturing out into this not so fair city, especially having just come from the lush surrounds of Barton Creek Resort & Spa.

Apparently, while the other commissioners were dealing with gloom and doom from lower sales tax revenue affecting  this next fiscal year’s budget,  commissioner Marra was spending her time with other fun loving RE/MAX owners  enjoying the optional Vanguard Broker/Owner Retreat at Barton Creek Resort & Spa.

According to the resorts website it states, “Enjoy a round on one of our four championship courses.

Relax in Three Springs Spa with a choice of specialty therapies.

Savor the flavors created by our talented chefs.

Or, just sit back and enjoy our beautiful surroundings.

Whatever your pleasure, Barton Creek is the perfect place to escape.”

I’m sure that when commissioner Marra recovers from her “perfect escape” (one no doubt blurred in memory by the nightly exploits of hanging out past drunk (networking in business vernacular), that she will awaken to the sobering understanding that being an elected official requires a bit more commitment than this party girl had anticipated.
