Two Sent to Prison for Trafficking Cocaine

McALLEN, Texas – Two men have been ordered to federal prison following their convictions in a cocaine trafficking conspiracy, announced U.S. Attorney Ryan K. Patrick. Jesus A. Villarreal, 58, of Sullivan City, and Juan Cristobal Hernandez, 39, of Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico, pleaded guilty Feb. 6, 2017.

Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender Arrested in Corpus Christi

AUSTIN – Eric Rene Ruiz, 28, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender, is now in custody after being captured Tuesday in Corpus Christi. Ruiz, affiliated with the Surenos Trece gang, was wanted for failure to register as a sex offender. (The arrest was not the result of tip information received through Texas Crime Stoppers, and no reward will be paid.)
