EDINBURG, Texas— The Edinburg Roadrunners won their fifth game in a row after they came from behind to defeat the McAllen Thunder 3-1 Saturday night at Edinburg Baseball Stadium.

Two more men arrested in connection with the Brownsville kidnapping murder case

Brownsville Police have made two more arrests in the murder investigation which occurred on July 18, 2012. At approximately 1 P.M. on Friday August 10, 2012, Victor Ernesto Matamoros-Orellana (31) was arrested in Donna, Texas by the U.S. Marshalls Fugitive Task force. He was charged with Murder. On Thursday August 09, 2012, Jorge Aleman was charged with murder while he was incarcerated in the Hidalgo County Jail on unrelated charges.

Deadline Aug. 17 to Register for Grazing Workshop

Ranchers and landowners interested in learning about improving their cattle operation and profitability will want to register by Aug. 17 for the Ranch Management Clinic on August 21, 2012 at the American Legion Post #0436, 1404 Zanderson Avenue, in Jourdanton. The workshop is being hosted by the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) Grazing Lands Conservation Initiative.
