The Church of Sardis IV

The church had received a dreadful message from the Lord Jesus. They thought that they were spiritually alive, but they were dead. Even though much of the church had fallen asleep, there was still that remnant that remained faithful to the Lord and that were alert to the things of the Lord. It is for that reason that the Lord said that the faithful will walk with Him in white for they are worthy.

San Juan Man Headed to Prison for Harboring Aliens

McALLEN,Texas– Pedro Salazar, 56, of San Juan,Texas, has been sentenced to 30 months in federal prison following his convictions for conspiracy and harboring illegal aliens, United States Attorney Kenneth Magidson announced today. A jury convicted Salazar after two days of trial and less than three hours of deliberation on June 7, 2102.

21-Year-Old Houston Woman Sentenced for Straw Purchasing Firearms

McALLEN, Texas – Nayely Ruby Herrera, 21, of Houston, has been handed a 36-month-term of federal imprisonment for making a false statement concerning the purchase of firearms on Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Form 4473, commonly referred to as straw purchasing, United States Attorney Kenneth Magidson announced today. Herrera was convicted by a jury following two hours of trial and approximately 30 minutes of deliberation on June 7, 2012.

DPS Announces New Residency Requirements for First-Time CDL Applicants

AUSTIN– The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has announced that it will begin implementing the new proof of residency (domicile) requirement for obtaining a commercial driver license (CDL) effective September 4, 2012. The requirements, which only apply to first-time CDL applicants, are the result of legislation approved by the Texas Legislature and comply with federal regulations.
