San Benito man sentenced to 25 years in prison for sexually abusing a 12 year old male family member

Brownsville, Texas – July 30, 2012 – Armando R. Villalobos, County and District Attorney for Cameron County, announces today that Jose Ernesto Pacheco, 56, of San Benito was sentenced to 25 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice – Institutional Division.

Brownsville, Texas – U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers at the Brownsville and Matamoros International Bridge discovered cocaine valued at over $633,600 hidden within a three different vehicles in three separate enforcement actions.

6 persons, 3 men and 3 women entrapped arrested and charged for selling alcoholic beverages to minors

The arrests took place on Saturday July 28, 2012. The Harlingen cops were working overtime using a minor decoy to entrap and make the arrests. Around 20 persons have now been entrapped and arrested by Harlingen police. Most of those arrested and charged lose their jobs and incomes to support their families. This is a cruel and unusual punishment. The only reason for the arrests is the over time income incentive for the cops. No over time no arrests.

Medicare provides a guaranteed set of benefits and affordable premiums to seniors and people with disabilities, including approximately 3,044,936 Texans. President Lyndon Johnson signed Medicare into law on July 30, 1965.

DPS Seeks Public’s Help in Double Homicide on the Border

AUSTIN – The Texas Rangers and the Maverick County Sheriff’s Office are trying to identify two homicide victims found near Eagle Pass on May 22, and a $5,000 reward has been offered for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for their deaths. Authorities are asking for the public’s help on both sides of the border in identifying the two male victims, who may be from Mexico.
