Harlingen police department news brief 7-11-12

A man and a woman arrested and charged for injury to an 11 old child, hospitalized in critical condition. Child protective services have removed three children for their protection. Bond was set at $500,000 on each.

A 19 year old Mexican National arrested and charged for theft of pick up truck recovered at the B&M International Bridge in Brownsville; A 38 year old La Feria man arrested and charged for public intoxication and possession of marihuana; A 41 year old man arrested and charged for public intoxication and possession of a controlled substance; A man and a woman arrested and charged for possession of Marihuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, public intoxication and resisting arrest; A 30 year old man was arrested and charged for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Edinburg to Host Pro-Players Basketball Camp

Edinburg – The City of Edinburg and Healthy Results is proud to present the Pro Players Basketball Camp with Ayana Walker (2003 WNBA Champion- Detroit Shock) and Amber Hall of the Phoenix Mercury. For a proposed second store in the Valley.  Two off the expressway in Harlingen.  One off the expressway in San Benito.  They want to cater to the Brownsville, Harlingen and San Benito area.  More details as they become available.

2 Harlingen women arrested and charged for robbery, after assaulting another woman and taking her purse and her cellular phone.

Eight eggs thrown at our house last night

Harlingen police has been here three times already investigating the incident.  Luckily one of the homes has a security camera.  They will be retrieving the video to identify the culprit(s).  They have also taken finger prints.  Hopefully an arrest will be made soon.
