CBP Officers at the Rio Grande City Port of Entry Arrest a Dallas Man with $275K Worth of Drugs

RIO GRANDE CITY, TEXAS— U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Office of Field Operations (OFO) officers at the Rio Grande City Port of Entry arrested a man from Dallas, Texas who was allegedly attempting to smuggle cocaine, methamphetamine, and heroin with an estimated combined street value of $275,000.

DPS DWI Enforcement Gets Drunk Drivers Off Roads During July 4th Holiday

AUSTIN – Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) troopers made more than 1,200 DWI arrests during a nine-day special enforcement period, including the July 4th holiday. The targeted DWI enforcement took place from June 30 – July 8 and included additional patrol hours funded by a Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) grant.

2 men arrested and charged for possession of marihuana, evading arrest and detention, municipal court warrants and for a traffic violation; An 18 year old man was arrested and charged for the theft of power tools and electronic devices which were pawned; A 23 year old woman was arrested and charged for assaulting another woman and pending municipal court arrest warrants.

CONGRESSMAN CUELLAR ANNOUNCES $2.1 MILLION FOR STUDENT PHSYICAL EDUCATION

McAllen, TX— Today, Congressman Henry Cuellar (D-Laredo) announced that the Department of Education has awarded McAllen ISD’s Department of Physical Education and Health Instruction Services a $715,495 grant under the Carol M. White Physical Education Program. The grant is expected to stand for a total of 3 years and total $2,146,485.
