EDINBURG, Texas— The Edinburg Roadrunners outlasted the Fort Worth Cats with a 4-3 victory in 11 innings Monday night at Edinburg Baseball Stadium.
Two suspects allegedly entered the Stripes store located at 725 S. Texas, and robbed the employees at knifepoint. At approximately 11:30 p.m., two males entered the store with clothing wrapped around their faces. Both individuals displayed large knives at the employees and demanded the money from the registers.
BROWNSVILLE, Texas – Omar Quezada-Alcala, 36, of Matamoros, Mexico, has been handed an almost 16-year sentence following convictions on four counts related to cocaine trafficking, United States Attorney Kenneth Magidson announced today. A Brownsville, Texas, jury found Quezada-Alcala guilty on Feb. 9, 2012 after only an hour of deliberation.

A 30 year old woman arrested and charged for felony aggravated assault with a baseball bat and twice with her car; a man and a woman arrested and charged for assault at 4 counts of a violation of a protective order; A 29 year old Santa Rosa man arrested and charged for public intoxication and possession of a controlled substance; A man and a woman arrested and charged for assault on a public servant, possession of a controlled substance, interference with the public duties of a police officer, resisting arrest and pending municipal court warrants.
