CBP to Hold an ESGR Awards Presentation at the Anzalduas International Bridge Conference Room

Retired GYSGT Jesus Rodriguez and CBP Officer Jesus Sanchez will present some patriot awards to Hidalgo Port of Entry Port Director, Management and Staff members. These awards are from the Department of Defense recognizing employers who support National Guard and Reserve members while deployed in military service for extended periods of time.


One suspect allegedly entered the Valero’s Corner Store located at 3225 E. Expressway 83, and robbed the employee. The suspect entered the store and grabbed some alcoholic beverages and then went around the counter demanding that the clerk give him the money from the register. The suspect reportedly displayed a gun that was tucked in his waistline to the clerk.


The Weslaco Police Department needs your help to catch a man and woman who allegedly used a stolen credit card to purchase some Easter baskets. It started with a vehicle that was burglarized at the Paradise Roadhouse Bar & Grill the night of April 7th. The victim’s purse which contained her credit card and other items, was stolen from the vehicle.

CBP Officers at the Hidalgo International Bridge Arrest a Houston Woman with Liquid Methamphetamine

HIDALGO, TEXAS—U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Office of Field Operations (OFO), officers at the Hidalgo International Bridge seized over 20 pounds of liquid methamphetamine and arrested a woman from Houston, Texas over the weekend. The estimated street value of the liquid methamphetamine is approximately $314,000.

Updated: One car accident fatality in Harlingen this morning, occupants identified

2nd Annual Brownsville Explorer Challenge

The Law Enforcement Exploring and the Fire Service Exploring Youth Program is a worksite-based program mostly for high school students in our community. The Explorer’s program helps gain insight into a variety of programs that offer hands-on career activities for those who are interested in the field of law enforcement or fire service.
