The story of Cesar Estrada Chavez begins near Yuma, Arizona. Cesar was born on March 31, 1927. He was named after his grandfather, Cesario. Regrettably, the story of Cesar Estrada Chavez also ends near Yuma, Arizona. He passed away on April 23, 1993, in San Luis, a small village near Yuma, Arizona.
When I asked Ramsey how he knew Cesar Chavez, his memories brought to mind the time that he was scheduled in Ft. Worth, Texas. He shared the following account. My memories bring to mind Joe Puente, who was Chairperson of La Raza Unida Party in Ft. Worth, Texas. During those days I would travel to Ft. Worth and Dallas, Texas to assist in organizing the party and tend to other issues that were pending.

And in such a short time the Lord was already rebuking the church for leaving its first love. But even after a harsh rebuke the Lord did give them another chance, should they repent. “…To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God” Revelation 2:7b.
