Edinburg, TX – The Fiesta Edinburg Parade has been rescheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, March 31, 2012. The parade was initially set during the Fiesta Edinburg festivities in February but was postponed due to inclement weather.

McAllen Metro Exports Jump 20 Percent
McAllen, TX–The McAllen metro area increased its exports 20 percent in 2010 and ranked as Texas’ 7th best export market in Texas and the 50th in the country according to the latest reports from the International Trade Administration. The figures show McAllen is shipping products to other countries to near pre-recession levels.

BROWNSVILLE, Texas – Gloria Olvido-Lopez, 43, of Brownsville, Texas, has been charged with selling misbranded Botox, United States Attorney Kenneth Magidson announced today.
Long Time Fugitive Pleads Guilty
BROWNSVILLE, Texas – Juan Becerra Vallejo, 53, has just pleaded guilty to possessing with intent to distribute cocaine, United States Attorney Kenneth Magidson announced today. Vallejo, a resident alien from Mexico who resides in Weslaco, Texas, was indicted in 2009 at which time the court issued a warrant for his arrest. He was apprehended on Oct. 27, 2011.
