BROWNSVILLE, TX: Brownsville residents needing to do business with the City of Brownsville will have an easier time getting in touch with the right person starting in 2012. On January 3, the City of Brownsville will be activating 546-HELP – a “one stop shop” for residents needing to access City government by telephone.

CBP Officers Apprehend Fugitive Wanted By the FBI at the Brownsville Port of Entry

BROWNSVILLE, Texas–U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers working at Brownsville and Matamoros International Bridge apprehended a male wanted on outstanding warrants from the FBI.

New Year’s Weekend Holiday Comprehensive Selective Traffic Enforcement Program

The McAllen Police Department in partnership with the Texas Department of Transportation will be conducting Comprehensive Selective Traffic Enforcement Program Grant from Friday December 30, 2011 till Sunday January 1, 2012 in an effort to promote safe driving with its education and enforcement efforts. McAllen Police Department will have officers on regular and overtime status looking for drivers that are drinking alcohol and/or intoxicated while operating motor vehicles. The McAllen Police Department will have additional patrols out to enforce Driving While Intoxicated laws.
